An old man notices that his wife seems to be having trouble hearing.
He suggests she get a hearing test, but she firmly refuses. Determined to show her that there’s an issue, he hatches a plan.
He goes upstairs, grabs a recorder, and turns it on.
Knowing she’s in the kitchen, he yells downstairs,
“Honey, what’s for supper?”
There’s no response. So he goes down the stairs and tries again,
“Honey, what’s for supper?”
Still nothing.
Next, he enters the living room and shouts,
“Honey, what’s for supper?”
No answer.
He even stands right outside the kitchen door and calls,
“What’s for supper?”
But still, there’s silence.
Finally, he walks right up behind her and exclaims,
“Honey! What’s for supper?!”
She spins around and replies,
“Damnit, Al! For the hundredth time, it’s CHICKEN!!!”
