My Husband Neglected Me and I Was Miserable, Until a Secret Admirer Made Me Feel Wanted Again

Dean grinned. “No worries. But if you figure out who’s sending the flowers, let me know.

Maybe he has a twin brother who likes guys.”

I laughed, shaking my head.

That night, I lay awake, staring at the ceiling. If it wasn’t Dean, then who was it?

A few days later, another bouquet arrived. My heart pounded as I reached for the note.

“If you want to know who I am, meet me here at 7 p.m.”

I read it twice, my fingers trembling.

Finally, I would get my answer. I would tell him I was married.

I would make it clear that this had to stop. But deep down, I knew the truth—I would miss the flowers, the notes, the feeling of being wanted.

At 7 p.m., I arrived at the address.

My breath caught in my throat. It was the restaurant—the one I had begged Kyle to take me to.

The one he always refused. Now, I was finally here, but with someone I didn’t even know.

I stepped inside, expecting to see a busy dining room.

Instead, it was empty which surprised me—it usually required reservations months in advance.

Candlelit tables flickered in the dim light. Bouquets filled the space, their scent surrounding me. My pulse raced.

“Alright, are you going to show yourself?” I called out, my voice echoing in the empty restaurant.

My heart pounded. “If it helps, we can’t be together. I have a husband.”

A pause.

Then, a familiar voice. “And do you love him?”

I froze. That voice—I knew it.

I turned around.

Kyle.

My breath caught. “It was you?”

He nodded, his eyes filled with something I hadn’t seen in a long time. “You were right,” he said.

“I stopped showing you how much I love you. I let us drift apart. But when you said you would’ve left me if it weren’t for Sam… it crushed me.

I can’t lose you, Emma.”

“A simple date night would have been enough,” I said, my voice shaking.

Kyle shook his head. “No. I did nothing for too long.

I needed to show you.”

I swallowed hard. “I had to give the flowers away at work.”

Kyle chuckled. “I wondered why you never brought them home.” He stepped closer, his hands resting on my waist.

“So… can you forgive me?”

I nodded.

He kissed me, I felt it—love. My Kyle was back.
