But when flashing lights appeared in his rearview mirror, reality hit. He pulled over and waited. The state trooper approached and said,
āSir, my shift ends in 30 minutes.
Itās Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that Iāve never heard before, Iāll let you go.ā
The old man replied,
āYears ago, my wife ran off with a State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.ā š³
